On Thursday June 3 Malombe called on teachers to support his bid for re-election in 2017. Malombe who has been closely supporting the education sector in the county has promised a basket full of goodies for teachers and education sector generally in his second term as governor.
He said he will be seeking re-election next year and he banks on the support of teachers. “I want to tell you that I will defend my seat in 2017 because I am eager to continue with my visionary and transformative leadership in order to move Kitui to the next level,” Malombe said.
Malombe was speaking when he hosted 1300 primary school heads at Kefri Grounds. He said he will continue to implement strategic programmes that foster growth and positive change in the county.
