Looming nurses go-slow at the Kitui County Referral hospital

Kitui County nurses have threatened to go on a go-slow from Monday July 4 since strikes is the only language that the government understands.

After numerous discussions between the nurses and senior county health officers yielded no fruits.

On Monday July 4 the Kitui County nurses have vowed to stage peaceful demonstration in a bid to seek intervention from the county government.

The reason for the go slow is that the county government is not willing to offer promotions that the nurses are entitled to.

Residents should brace themselves for a tough time as the nurses resort to boycotting their jobs to seek audience with the government.

There is a high risk of death toll at the hospital going high if the nurses’ grievances are not taken into consideration as soon as possible.

The county government should step in and provide speedy solution to the stalemate before the matter gets out of hand.
