The reason behind ‘Dr. Metals’ administration and his deputy woes have been revealed.

The long suffering relationship between Kitui County governor and his deputy has continued to play out in public and the rift has continued to widen each day, frustrating efforts for both leaders to fully implement promises they made to the people of Kitui.

The two top leaders have on countless occasions accused each other of being intolerant; many have pointed fingers to the deputy governor condemning her of disrespect while others have accused the governor of undermining his deputy for being a woman.

It has now emerged that the devil’s advocate and the real reason behind all these woes is not too far after all, it is alleged that the Vice Chair of Public Service Board is the reason behind the trouble which helps him to remain politically relevant.

According to Yoana Kimwele a youth leader and Member of County Assembly aspirant Mutha Ward in Kitui South the top county officer has kept making sure that the governor and his deputy are not in good terms for his political significance.

“He is keen to control Kitui South so as to be seen as the kingpin in that region. As a youth MCA aspirant in Kitui South, Mutha ward I urge Mr. Ivuti to keep off Kitui South politics or he will be embarrassed.” He said.

The governor had at an earlier function in Mutomo, bashed his deputy governor after she insisted to speak after the county public board top official had addressed the crowd.

Gov. Malombe publicly condemned his DP terming her as disrespectful to her seniors in leadership. The governor called his deputy a young ill-mannered leader who accorded no respect to a senior politician and a county top official like Mr. Ivuti for insisting to speak after him at the function.
