The Machakos woman who was chopped off her hands by her estranged husband few months ago is set to receive world class medical attention at the Daihan Prosthetic Labs Hospital in Seoul. South Korea.
Mwende who has received overwhelming support from well-wishers since the misfortune befell her will now be fitted with electric limbs.
Mwende was battered by his husband who chopped both her hands and left her for dead before well wishers rescued her and rushed her to hospital. She has been supported by the county government of Machakos, independent NGO’s and prominent politicians and business people.
Jackline Mwende was at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport yesterday Sept 27 before leaving for South Korea to have electric limbs fitted.
She is set for a 10-day trip to Daihan Prosthetic Labs Hospital in Seoul, South Korea, to be fitted with electronic prosthetic limbs.
The prosthetics are expected to coordinate with her upper hand muscles to enable her feed herself, carry some objects, and perform other light chores said her doctor, Dr Maru during a press briefing on Monday.
Mwende’s hospital and prosthetics bills will be catered for by LG Electronics, a South Korean company.
