Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is a Cord coalition co-principal believes he is the best fit candidate to fly Cord’s flag in 2017. Kalonzo on a tour in Tana River County on Sept 29 told the electorates to back him up and support his presidential bid.
“I have what it takes to bring back the glory of this country, which has been tainted by massive corruption being perpetrated by the Jubilee regime. I deputized retired President Mwai Kibaki and later supported my brother Raila, now I am going for the top seat” Kalonzo said.
The former VP has been on the road traversing the country on a vote hunting sprees high hopes that the coalition will appoint him as the coalition’s poll bearer.
The cord coalition has promised to announce its flag bearer early December this year.
During the Tana River County, the former VP was accompanied by other party officials including Secretary General Hassan Omar and Machakos Senator Muthama among others.
Muthama exuded confidence in their leader saying that he would make such an accountable president. “You cannot count two transparent, uncorrupt people in Kenya without mentioning Kalonzo.” Muthama said.
