A day after the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission tendered their resignation a deal was made on the send-off package the president Uhuru has now declared the positions vacant.
State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu, the president also asked the Public Service Commission to submit the names of nine nominees to the selection panel that will interview candidates interested to be appointed to the new commission.
The Isaack led team who quit will however continue to serve until new commissioners are appointed and sworn-in.
The commissioner have been send out after a continuous loss of confidence and public outcry. The commisioners were send home in the hope of reforming the electoral body ahead of the 2017 general election.
