Frustrated university and college students who flocked IEBC offices in Kitui town to acquire voters cards. This is a mandatory requirement placed by Kitui Central CDF team before submitting their bursary request.

This has received sharp criticism over social media platforms as well as social gathering. With all talks either for or against the issue generally it is a way of encouraging all students to be involved in voting process.

Here we congratulate Kitui Central MP Makali for this noble initiative of ensuring our youths take part in this key process.

Bursary applicants had to withstand the late morning scorching sun on Wednesday 28th Dec to follow the set directive.

Official report from IEBC indicates that 500 students were newly registered as voters. They indicated that there was a misinformation that one must voters card. The fact of the matter is once one is registered ID card serves the purpose. Then there was no need to ask for acknowledged slip but confirm on registration details using National Identification Card (ID)
