Try to buy IDs at your own risk, MP Mulyungi warns Jubilee cronies

Mwingi, September 22nd, 2017

Newly-elected Mwingi Central Member of Parliament Gideon Mulyungi has warned individuals scheming to hoodwink his constituents into selling their ID cards ahead of the October 26th presidential election re-run.

He alleged an orchestrated and evil scheme, to strip the people of Mwingi and the larger Kitui County, which is an Opposition stronghold, of their constitutional suffrage right.

“It is malicious, its is utter cowardice besides being a criminal and an electoral offense,” the tough-talking politician cautioned in a press statement released yesterday.

“I want to warn anyone thinking that he can just come to my town in Mwingi–or anywhere in Ukambani and buy ID cards, that I will deal with them properly,” he added.

He said all lawmarkers and MCAs allied to NASA are keenly monitoring the situation to ensure victory for Raila Odinga and our son Kalonzo Musyoka.

He further beseeched the electorate in Kitui and the rest of Ukambani to stay vigilant and report any such incidences to the police or even arrest the criminals before handing them over to the authorities.

Dr Mulyungi is on an all-out and bare-knuckled confrontation against suspected Jubilee shenanigans on an elaborate plot to bribe voters in Ukambani and other NASA turfs and steal their ID cards.

His warning comes barely three weeks after NASA stalwarts in Odinga’s political backyard raided a Kisumu hotel and flushed out persons alleged to have been buying IDs in an operation disguised as a women’s meeting within the lakeside town.
