Governor Charity Ngilu’s eight County Executive Committee (CEC) nominees have now assumed duty after they were on Tuesday sworn into office.
The enthusiastic appointees were inaugurated at Kefri in a colourful event presided over by Kitui Resident Magistrate Rose Ombata and graced by the governor alongside all Kitui MCAs and Speaker George Ndotto.
While congratulating the newly sworn in county ministers, Ngilu challenged them to immediately get down to work and deliver to the people of Kitui.
Those sworn in include Trade and Cooperatives executive Philip Mumo, Eng. Jacob Maundu Kakundi (Land, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development), Rosaita Mbukua Ngina (Health and Sanitation) and Emmanuel Malii Kisangau (Water, Agriculture and Livestock Development).
Others are David Musyoki Kivoto (Education, ICT and Youth Development), Patrick Koki Musau (Tourism, Sports and Culture), John Muneeni Makau (Environment and Natural Resources) and Mary Ndunge Nguli (County Treasury).
