Governor Charity Ngilu, a close ally of the Opposition NASA’s leader Raila Odinga has revealed her plans to join hands with Jubilee’s President Uhuru Kenyatta in her service to Kitui.
Speaking when she toured the stalled Mamole water project and various ndengu farms in Kitui Rural and Kitui Central sub counties, Ngilu said the Head of State advocates for similar agendas as hers.
“President Kenyatta has been championing for water provision and food security as key in Jubilee government’s development agenda for the nation. Water and food are my priorities too.
“For that reason I am going to reach out to him so that we can discuss how we can work together towards realizing adequate water supply and sufficient food not only for Kitui but also the rest of Kenya,” she added.
The county boss said she would reveal her intentions to Mr Kenyatta during tomorrow’s burial ceremony for the late Kitui West Member of Parliament Francis Nyenze
Ngilu broke ranks with the President Kenyatta back in 2015 after she was unceremoniously sacked from the lands docket over graft allegations.
