The Civil Organisations have criticised the Acting Interior CS and the Non-Governmental Organizations Coordination Board Executive Director Fazul Mahamed for their failure to obey the court order issued on 7th December, 2017 by the Employment and Labour Relations Court stopping extension of Fazul’s contract as the Executive Director of the board.

Fazul has been conducting the normal affairs of the board in spite of the court order. His term in office as the Executive Director ended November 23rd, 2017.

The civil society now wants a stern action taken against the two for failing to obey the court order.

Lady Justice Helen Wasilwa issued a temporary court order pending the hearing and the final determination of the case which was filed by the Human Activist Okiya Omtatah.

The petition was filed against Acting Interior and National Coordination CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
