Court gives TSC a setback, school heads transfer stopped.

TSC mass delocalisation plan of secondary school heads has been stopped by the High Court in Kisumu today Thursday 28th December, 2017.

The order has been issued today by Justice David Majanja who has also sued TSC and Education CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i for the mass teachers transfer plan which was to be effected come January 2018.

Approximately 557 Head teachers of primary and secondary schools received notices of transfer last week.The principals of 31 national schools in Kenya had also been shifted to other schools of the same stature.

At the extra county level,78 principals had been moved to the extra county girls schools.

The programme made 8 principals being promoted and transfered to the national schools which operated without the substantive heads.The exercise also filled up filled 134 school heads vacancies that existed at the county schools level while 19 county schools principals were moved to the Technical Institutions.
