There was a sudden twist from grief to joy after two students with fee challenge got rays of hope during separate funeral services of their close relatives after Chuluni MCA Hon. James Mbuvi Wangunze promised to cater for their education worries.
At one of the send off ceremony in Nzangathi a form 3 student daughter to the deceased from Kanzawu Secondary School was relieved the agony of his fees payment after her fees was fully paid.
At Kavumbuni, another student who sat for KCPE this year 2017 also got a pledge of full payment of her form 1 fees from Hon. Wangunze.
While at Nzangathi, Wangunze criticized a contractor for doing shoddy road works in his ward. He cried foul of the poor state of the road works from Kiini-Mbitini road promising to follow up the matter for contractor to do the road works again.
“The road is very risky to use especially when the schools open. I’m going to follow up the matter for the contractor to do the work again. If the contractor fails to correct the mistake in 3 days time up to Wednesday January 3, 2018, I will mobilise Chuluni voters from the area for a massive demonstration and then ask for subsequent blacklisting of the company.” Said Wangunze.
Hon. Wangunze also promised to replace a water tank that was destroyed during August 8, 2017 election campaings.
