Then the Kitui County Returning Officer, Albert Gogo on Wednesday took the witness stand in the case filed by former Kitui Governor Malombe against Ngilu’s election.
Gogo told the court that it was true that he received complaints that some of the Wiper agents had been chased away from the polling station, but he later dismissed the allegations upon verification.
This (Gogo’s) statement comes a day after Dr Malombe’s chief agent, Mr Bernard Kitheka, told Justice Pauline Nyamweya that most Wiper agents changed their loyalty.
Wiper agents did not appended their signatures in all polling stations, the votes cast were 84,664, Mr Gogo told the court.
Mr Nguma confirmed that one hundred and twenty (120) forms lacked IEBC’s stamp, He was being cross-examined by Dr Malombe’s lawyer Apollo Muinde.
Ms Ngilu will take the witness stand tomorrow on Thursday.
