Kitui West Wiper nomination results released

The hotly contested Kitui party parliamentary seat has been officially joined by Wiper Party’s Edith Nyenze after emerging winner in the party primaries held on Tuesday.

The primaries which attracted a voter turn out of 31% totaling to 16000 votes was a two horse race between Mrs Nyenze, wife to former Mp the late Francis Nyenze, and Maluki Kitili, Nyiva’s son.

From the 65 polling stations in the constituency, Mrs. Nyenze garnered a whooping 13,388 votes, compared to her not so worthy competitor, Maluki Mwendwa who only amassed a mere 2,663 votes.

The results were officially Announced by the Constituency Returning Officer, Francis Kivindu and assented to by both parties involved.
