Experts in the County finance management area have shade light on how key documents and papers work: County Fiscal Strtegy Paper (CFSP), the Annual Development Plan (ADP) and the Couty Integrated Development Plan (CIDP).

This follows an online misleading post shared by the famous WhatsApp account dubbed “Tharaka“.

Tharaka’s post on CIDPS

The truth of the matter, as experts aver, Kitui County is on the right path. The claims that the current CIDP expired is untrue since it expires in June 2018. As matter of fact, Kitui County finance department is already preparing a new CIDP and other papers as a way of planning for the future.

There is no plan to have a vacuum in Kitui at all. Most county governments Kitui included are ahead of time and are already involving the public in the preparation of these key documents.” says Township MCA

According to several online users, Ngilu’s Administration is doing much better when it comes to public participation unlike Malombe’s government.  They have accused the former regime for typing and adopting key documents from the comfort of a Kitui hotel.

Kitui County governor and her minister for finance are working hand in gloves with the Kitui County assembly to ensure the public is adequately involved. As we speak, several MCAs have toured various areas across the county like Kitui South to encourage the public to turn up in large numbers during these public participation forums. They have also traveled to access the effectiveness of the county revenue collection system“, said a county assembly staff who sought anonymity.
