Kangundo residents set to benefit from Rural Electric Power Connection at no cost.

Kangundo MP Hon. Fabian Kyule has lobbied the government to ensure that his people get electric connection to their homes at no cost.The parliamentarian has today 1st January 2018 met the officials from the ekectricity distributer company KPLC to discuss the issue.

Kyule has already sourced a total of 40 transformers which shall be equally distributed across the entire constituency. Today the Power surveyor toured the areas of Kangundo North Assembly Ward so as to draft a plan of how the project shall get implemented.

The legislator had promised his electorates 90% power connection if he gets elected as the area lawmaker.This is one of his manifesto to the voters which he promised them during the campaign period prior to August 8,2017 General elections.

Hon. Kyule added that over 300 homesteads in Kanzalu,Ikulu and Kamutonga shall be the beneficiaries of the first phase of electrification .The project is expected to kick of very soon as per the agreements made between the government and the local leadership.

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company, KPLC team is expected to tour Kangundo East and Kangundo West assembly wards tommorow Thursday 2nd January, 2018 so as to get an estimate of the cost to be incurred in the project.

In Kangundo West Assembly Ward more than 410 homesteads will have something to smile at after the rural electrification process shall be over.The Kionyweni and Kathaana residents are expected to be the first beneficiaries of the first phase of rural electrification process.

In Kangundo Central Assembly Ward at Kanzokea village, more than 196 families are expected to get connected to the electric power.

In addition to that,Hon. Kyule has added that the electrification process shall be done at no cost to the consumers. Therefore no one is expected to give out any amount of money so as to benefit from the programme.
