Nguni residents counting losses

8th Feb 2018: Residents of Imba village in Nguni ward Mwingi East sub county are counting losses for the last two months after a wild animal said to be a hyena has been killing their goats.

 Up to now, more than 50 goats have been killed by this wild animal

Speaking to Kitui Online, the village administrator in the area,Jackson Mwangangi urged Kenya wildlife service officers to intervene and sort out the hyena menace..

He added that apart from counting losses,they are also living in fear that they might be attacked by the hyena, especially to small children on their way from the school.

” I have lost seven goats so far We are not at peace anymore.We don’t know what will happen next.” Musyimi, a villager lamented
