Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has asked former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti not to give up after the petition she had filed challenging Governor Alfred Mutua’s re-election was dismissed by the Machakos High Court on Friday.
Speaking to journalists at her office on Saturday, the former Lands Cabinet Secretary said that losing the petition was a blow to the vocal Wiper politician.
She told Wavinya Ndeti to continue pushing for justice and engage fully in active politics.
“I feel disappointed because my sister Wavinya Ndeti’s petition against governor Mutua’s re-election was dismissed by the court, but I tell her to stand her ground and continue pushing for justice,” she said.
Ngilu said that the former Kathiani MP has the heart of serving Machakos people urging her to continue engaging with her followers and locals.
The Kitui boss said that it will take concerted efforts to end the culture of election theft and manipulation of election results.
Wavinya’s petition was dismissed by Machakos High court judge Aggrey Muchelule on grounds that it lacked merit.
