Joy as KMTC student finally goes back to school

Mwingi, 16th Feb 2018: Rhoda Mawia, a student at Kenya Medical Training College,Mwingi today counts herself lucky after Madam Irene Kasalu, kitui county women representative settled her school fee balance of Ksh.88,100.

Rhoda who had earlier on pleaded for financial support from any well wisher, thanked the women representative for coming to her rescue at a time when her dreams were almost being shut down.

I knew about this bright girl through the media and my office decided to intervene to make sure that Mawia lives her dreams.” Madam Irene said.

The student has reported back to  school and will be joining the others who are on attachment,“she added

Madam Kasalu congratulated Rhoda for her hardwork that has seen her join KMTC which is very competitive  and a little bit hard to join. She urged her to make everyone proud by being the first nurse in her village.

Those with children who have disabilities have been called upon by Madam Irene to bring them forth so that they can be assisted through their education.

Residents have also been impelled to report rape and defilement cases in order to protect our girls.
