Among the three Ukamba Governors, Hon. Charity Ngilu the incumbent Governor of Kitui County has been voted as the best Governor and the true leader of the Akamba community.
This was done through an opinion exercise conducted on several social media platforms.
Governor Ngilu emerged to be the winner while Machakos county Governor Hon. Mutua was the second and the Makueni County Hon. Kivutha came third in the list.
Hon. Ngilu was voted the best due to her spirit in fighting for what is best for her people. Her fight against charcoal burn was highy recognized and appreciated for people saw it as criteria in fighting desertification in Ukambani. She was termed as a true Ukambani leader for her devotion in her work and well organized working procedure.
Hon. Mutua of Machakos County was voted the second and termed as a good leader for his determination to meet his manifestos. Many liked his “Chap Chap” mode of working hence appreciating the existence of the Maendeleo Chap Chap party.
He was acknowledged for his major developments in his county like the construction of the 33 km tarmac road under his “Super Chap Chap ” ideology.
Governor Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni County followed Mutua of Masaku County in the list as many said they have witnessed his great deeds like the opening of the Fruit Processing Plant at Kalamba in Kibwezi West Constituency.
He led as a polite Akamba leader and also an Elder of the entire Ukamba Region. Also,Prof. Kibwana has been working tirelessly offer an advice to elected leaders and also to Unite the community by the electorates of Makueni County.
