Malombe has vowed to appeal High Court ruling that upheld Governor Ngilu’s victory in last year’s general election.
Former Kitui Governor Julius Malombe has said he will appeal the High Court ruling that upheld Governor Charity Ngilu’s victory in last year’s general election.
Speaking to journalists moments after the ruling at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi on Friday, Malombe’s lawyer Apollo Muinde said his client had instructed them to immediately file an appeal.
Muinde said they were not satisfied with the High Court ruling which he termed defective.
“We have instructions to work on an appeal because the ruling was defective as it did not consider the concrete evidence we provided while filing the petition,” Muinde said.
