Despite the recent Uhuru-Raila talks being the talk in town with everyone predicting a possible fallout among the opposition’s leaders, Kalonzo Musyoka has refuted claims of disunity in the den noting that NASA was at peace with itself.
While addressing residents of kathivo and kakumuti markets in kwa Mutonga/kithumula ward, Kitui west constituency on Monday, March 19, the Wiper party leader affirmed that together with his ANC and Ford Kenya counterparts Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, they were not offended by Raila Odinga meeting president Uhuru Kenyatta alone.
” To those saying that NASA is no more, we wish to tell you that it’s not the case. Because the four of us are united despite our disagreements now and then. In fact, were it not for the ill political environment right now, our brother Raila Odinga would be here with us. ” Kalonzo noted.
Kalonzo also noted that the three of them are united together under the opposition leadership to play an oversight role against the Kenyan government.
“We wish to state to our supporters that having dialogues is not a bad thing, it’s not betrayal. We must have talks. But there is a difference between dialogue and decamping NASA. Opposition in any country must be part of the National dialogue. ” Mudavadi said.
