Kitui south MP Rachael Kaki Nyamai has defended the government over deportation of Miguna Miguna, claiming that Miguna’s deportation was his own liking as he failed to hand over his identification documents for identification which is a common practice for all passengers from abroad.

Speaking at her home in Mutomo where she had hosted disabled children from all special schools in her constituency for Easter, the MP said that even the president and his deputy are required by guidelines of immigration to have themselves identifies before they can be cleared either out or back to the country.

The legislator said that Miguna Miguna was deported after he totally refused to hand over his identification documents for verification by immigration officers.

She said that the country cannot allow unidentified males or females to just enter the country without following the laid out procedures, hence nobody should blame the government for what befell Miguna.
