Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu on Friday maintained to the county’s executive that order and discipline are key to the realization of of her five pillar manifesto.
While addressing the Kitui County executive officials,she said if the manifesto is well implemented, it would make the difference needed in the county.
“We need to put order and discipline so that we deliver to the people who look up to us, and we should lead by example.” Ngilu said.
Governor Ngilu further insisted on the need to discharge respective responsibilities professionaly in order to streamline the departments and also lamented about thin skills existing in the Ministries, urging them to promptly address the issues that arise in their respective Ministries.
“Yesterday I met the people in Sub Counties on issues on water, and I feel that we are not there yet, we need to get water as close as people’s houses for that’s what every County resident wants”.
The Governor called on the ministers and Chief Officers to have master statistics of issues they are dealing with and target those that can help the youth, get jobs.
She tasked Philip Mumo, the CECM trade, to open the County’s production sector in two months time, to create job opportunities for the youth and women.
