Ngilu offers to groom former Changamwe MP’s son into politics

Governor Ngilu greets Manami Andachi, the widow of Tyrus Mwendwa

Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu was granted a rare standing ovation at a burial during the send off ceremony of late Tyrus Mwendwa Kiliku (son to Former Changamwe Member of Parliament, the late Hon.Kennedy Kiliku) when she publicly declared her desire to mentor Daniel Mwangaza Kiliku into politics.

Ngilu made the remarks after eulogizing the late Tyrus as a friendly, hardworking and focused young leader gone too soon.

Governor Ngilu confirmed that the late MP Kiliku was among the politicians who played a key role in grooming her into politics and she was ready to mentor late Kiliku’s heir Mwangaza to pick up the mantle of his father politically.

As the saying goes, ‘Like father like son’, Governor Ngilu also attested to the fact that Mwangaza played a key role in her gubernatorial campaigns in the last election.

Mr. Mwangaza is a former student at Daystar University and has worked at Capital Resource Africa and Kenya Ports Authority.
