Kamutei mixed gets Kshs.300,000 for needy students

Governor Charity Ngilu issues Sanitary pads to students at Kamutei Mixed Secondary School.

It was joy and jubilation for students and parents of Kamutei Mixed Secondary School when they were joined by the Kitui Governor Hon. Charity Ngilu on Tuesday May 8.

The governor listened to the pleas of all students and parents present and also disbursed kshs. 300,000 to help in the facilitation of paying fees for needy students.

“I spent part of my day with students and parents of Kamutei Mixed Secondary school today. I listened to the various challenges facing the school as we seek to improve the education standards and welfare of our children. We disbursed 300,000 shillings to offset school fees for needy students in the school.” the could to boss posted on her official Facebook Page.

The girls in the school also benefited from sanitary towels in light with the ongoing drive by the government to make the girl child’s life comfortable at school.
“We also distributed sanitary towels to girls at the school. Time for empty political rhetoric is over.” Ngilu added.
She further pledged to all present that her administration will work for the people of Kitui and deliver their promises.
