After recent developments, the wiper party leader,Kalonzo Musyoka could join hands with Alfred Mutua for presidency in 2022 elections after a section of Ukambani leaders pleaded with him to join and support Mutua’s bid.

The Kamba community has supported Kalonzo’s bid for the country’s top seat in three different occasions with no success and thus the leaders argued that its high time the Wiper leader supported Alfred Mutua.

The Machakos governor, had officially announced his interest in the presidential seat.
He received great support from Ukambani politicians who suggested that Kalonzo Musyoka should support Mutua’s 2022 presidential bid.

Ukambani leaders argued that Kalonzo Musyoka should leave his presidential bid and instead support the Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCCP) leader.

MCCP’s Secretary General, Stephen Kilonzo as he spoke to journalits in Kitui town on Wednesday May 9, said it was high time the Kalonzo retired and allow younger and energetic politicians from his political backyard to take charge.

“I really respect and appreciate the much he has done for this nation as a leader, but his time is certainly up. He should honorably hand over the mantle to his political mentee and kinsman, Alfred Mutua,” Kilonzo said.

Kilonzo said that the Kamba community has supported Kalonzo’s presidential bid for far too long without any notable success. Now this being the fourth time it seems it won’t be any different.

Kilonzo added that Mutua’s exemplary leadership had been tested and proven as county governor in addition to his quest to promote sustainable socio-economic development in the country.

“Unlike Kalonzo, Mutua has won the support and confidence of many Kenyans even as he braces for the 2022 presidential contest,” said Kilonzo.

Machakos governor who was once a member of Wiper party, believes he will beat his former party leader, Kalonzo and become the next top political leader in Ukambani.

The wiper party leader who doubles as a co-principal in the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition, also declared his president ambitions come 2022 during the recent Komarock’s meeting.

The three NASA co – principals Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula recently held a meeting in Trans nzoia county in the absence of Raila Odinga.
