Kamandio,Miambani Ward gets a market day

Wednesday 16th May was a great day for Kamandio residents in Miambani Ward,Kitui County being the day of opening Kamandio Market day.Before,the people have been travelling all the way to Miambani market to get what they need which is quite some distance away from their village.

The area traders will now have a chance to do their commerce with ease as opposed to the past where they only relied upon Miambani market day to sell their goods.

The area Miambani Ward MCA Hon. Alex Nganga accompanied by other Senior Kitui County officials witnessed this special event.Among the officials were Kitui County Minister for Lands,Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Development Hon. Kakundi ,Hon. Philip Mumo,the County Minister for Trade and Cooperatives who were sent to represent the County Administration in this function.

Devolved Units were assigned the roles to be the supervisors of the local market centres in the rural areas whereby they County Governments are expected to ensure smooth running and operations are done.

Kamandio market is t second market in Miambani Assembly Ward after Miambani trading centre that serves as the main economic centre in the entire ward.Now,tge two adjacent trading centres are expected to uplift the trading activities including hawking.The open air market shall provide a chance for the buyers to have an opportunity to choose what they want from a variety of many choices. the locals expressed their joy after opening of the new Kamandio market within their locality.

Also,the residents thanked the County Government for considering giving them a market day which shall help in boosting their various trading activities.They vowed to utilise the given market in bettering their daily lives and also raising their living standards.

Businessmen across the ward will have  new avenues for investment to various activities upon the opening of the new Kamandio market.Both locals and people outside the ward are expected to reap more benefits from the new market centre.
