Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna said that the Kamba community has been getting a raw deal in the handshake between opposition leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta as depicted in recent government appointments where the community has been left out of the major posts.

Speaking at Katoteni village in Migwani Sub County during the burial ceremony of mother to a re-known Journalist in Kitui, Mr Nguna urged the president to consider regional balance in all government appointments and in distribution of resources.

The legislator said that the Kamba community has fully embraced the on-going handshakes and unity talks in the country, hence being one of the largest communities in Kenya ought to feature in all government appointments.

He said that its bitter to see the community being continually left out of government appointments, despite their leader and Wiper Party Leader being a key advocates of peace and unity in the nation.

However, the MP said that he has great hope in President Uhuru’s government and that it has a potential to move the country to the next level in terms of development.
