Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has denied speculations that he might be crossing over to Jubilee Party.
Speaking during the Iftar dinner hosted by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Wednesday evening at City Hall, Kalonzo said dining and wining with Deputy President William Ruto does not mean that he has shifted his political affiliation.
“Being together with my brother William does not mean I have joined Jubilee. Even Nasa working together with the government does not also mean there will be no oversight,” Kalonzo said.
On his part, Deputy President William Ruto said he is ready to work with the Ukambani political kingpin to transform the country in different areas.
Ruto urged Kenyans to maintain peace during this period of national healing following President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga’s handshake.
“We are all Kenyans and we will not be divided in terms of tribe, region and religion. Do not worry about those who talk about our meeting. They will talk all day and sleep at night,” Ruto added.
Kalonzo also urged Sonko to step up his effort in cleaning Nairobi County.
“If you get it right, then nobody will dethrone you in 2022. If you don’t, then NASA is coming for you in the next general election,” Kalonzo said.
