The ukambani political kingpin, Kalonzo Musyoka has urged Jubilee legislators to pass necessary laws for the enforcement of lifestyle audit of all leaders.
Speaking on Tuesday while launching Wiper offices in Karen, Nairobi County,Musyoka said nothing can be done outside the law. He added that for president Uhuru Kenyatta’s order for lifestyle audit to be a success, then the MPs affiliated to the ruling party ought to facilitate the same by law.
The Wiper Democratic Movement(WDM) party boss also lauded the call by the president, adding that it would ensure no top state officer escapes scrutiny including the president and his deputy.
“Illegally acquired public resources must revert to the public and those found culpable must face the full force of the law,” said Musyoka.
This statement by the lion of Tseikuru, comes a day after Wiper party’s chairperson and the Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana threw his weight behind the president’s call for a lifestyle audit.
On Monday, Governor Kivutha Kibwana swore to support the president’s efforts in ending corruption in the country.
“I want to declare my support to Uhuru Kenyatta in the fight against corruption. This vice is not easy to fight. If the lifestyle audit is properly done and the results published, it can yield positive results against this dragon and anything undeserved recovered,” the governor posted on Twitter.
