Wiper leader President Kalonzo Musyoka has been asked to join hands with Deputy President William Ruto in readiness for the 2022 general elections.
Addressing Yatta Town residents Yatta MP Charles Kilonzo says that Kalonzo will not go anywhere if he contests the presidential seat alone without the backing of other communities.
“Kalonzo should reach out to other top politicians, present his case and seek for support in his 2022 bid,” Kalonzo said.
Kilonzo further said that Kalonzo should put in mind that for him to win the presidential seat, he needs support from other communities, not just Kamba community.
Kilonzo said that Kenyans should stop voting along tribal lines and let every tribe have a chance to rule.
“I think Kenyans should realize that this country has over 42 tribes and should give each tribe chance to lead at the presidency,” he said.
He, however, expressed his confidence in the wiper leader saying that he has enough experience in government and he is at the top of other candidates who are eyeing the seat.
The Yatta MP is calling for Kamba community to unite and speak the same language ahead as we approach the 2022 presidential race.
He lamented that the Kamba community has for the longest time been used to settle political scores but now, they should come together, put their differences aside and push their interests forward.
There are rumours that DP could strike partnership with Kalonzo ahead of the 2022 general election.
