Remaining flood victims inTseikuru finally get their Compensation


Over 200 residents from Mulangoni and Katumbi locations in Tseikuru ward within Mwingi North of Kitui county benefited with 1, 000 iron sheets after complains that there was unfair distribution of relief food and building materials issued on May 25 when the Devolution Cs, Eugene Wamalwa launched the exercise in Masyungwa town after many were negatively affected by the then heavy rains.

Tseikuru MCA, Hon. Kilaa Kasina who led the exercise confirmed that residents complained of unfair distribution of the materials issued by the National government.
“I have gone round my ward and witnessed some families whose houses were destroyed by the April rains yet they never received the food issued and building materials, “ Kilaa said
The member of county assembly warned chiefs, their assistants and the village administrators of  such happenings as he had to consult the county government to move in and assist those who were never compensated.
“Every mwananchi should equally benefit from any beneficial exercise and those who do not work to fulfill this we will be on their case, “warned the MCA.
