US-based law professor and the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss, Makau Mutua on Tuesday launched his new hotel in Kitui county.
The columnist, Prof. Makau Mutua built the hotel near his home in Mutuni, Kitui County.
Mutua, who doubles as an adviser to a number of opposition leaders in the former National Super Alliance (NASA) which has since splintered, built KITUI VILLAS, the 10-bed capacity high-end hotel in his home town as a way of giving back to the society.
The launching was attended by a number of national leaders among them the Kitui county Governor Charity Ngilu, opposition Raila Odinga, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Kathiani Member of Parliament Wavinya Ndeti and the outgoing US Ambassador Robert Godec.
The NASA leader Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka later on addressed a rally in Kitui town from 2pm, touching on the future of the opposition.
