Two students go missing after brutal beating by teacher in Mavoko

Students and parents at St Stevens girls high school in Mavoko constituency of Machakos county went wild after the administration of the school and the police failed to avail two girls said to have vanished from the Institution on Wednesday.

Parents of Diana and Purity both in form three at the school went to the Institution after they got report that their daughters had vanished from the school after a ordeal brutal beating by one of the teachers .

However the school director Mr Steven Kioko Nzeve, said he had reported the matter to the Kyumbi police station.The two parents Mr Jaston Sienye and Amina said were mistreated at Kyumbi police station where they recorded statements after the officer appeared to have colluded with the school to cover up the whereabout of the two girls.

School girls who talked to the media disclosed that the two colleagues were attacked with crude weapons and sustained heavy injuries before their disappearance.

The parents appealed to the minister of education and Inspector General of police to intervene since both the school management and police appeared not ready to disclose whereabout of their injured daughters.

At one time the irritated parents tried to confront the school’s director in his office and explain why he allowed teachers to use crude weapons to attack students while education act restrained the beating of students.

Police at Kyumbi police confirmed had received the report about the missing girls and were investigating.

The girls told the Press that one of the male teachers was storming to their dormitories while they were not dressed.
