Machakos county deputy governor Francis Maliti has urged the residents to give the county leadership ample time to serve them.
Speaking on Monday during a public participation forum in Kangundo town Maliti said that development is a process that should be followed.
Maliti said that the term is young and proper are being made to ensure even the residents in grassroots get the fruits of devolution.
“Devolution has raised high expectations by residents but we should know that development is a process that should be followed to be achieved”, Said Maliti.
Maliti said that the county has earmarked some projects that will be launched and some other projects are ongoing.
He told leaders to stop politicizing development projects to gain mileage.He said that the leaders should avoid criticizing the government before it’s done with it’s job.
“We have finished projects and others which are ongoing leaders should avoid playing politics in development projects just to build their name”, Said Maliti.
“We have four remaining years to develop Machakos and ample time should be given to us wait until our time is over so that you can rate us,remember an exam is marked after it’s done”, He added.
