Alumni from various schools in Masinga sub county have been urged to support their former schools developmentwise.
In an exclusive phone interview with Kitui Online, the Masinga member of parliament Joshua Mwalyo said that the latter should come together and offer development aid to the schools which made them whom they are.
He said that the latter has the responsibility of keeping in touch and participating in development projects in their old schools.
“Our former schools made us what we are. We thus have the responsibility to keep in touch with them and also participate in their development programmes,” He said.
Mwalyo compared the school as a loving mother who has grown old and needs care from the children she brought up.
He urged them to emulate alumni from Masinga boys who came together and constructed a dining hall for the school.
He advised them to shun the pathetic thinking that it’s the government’s work to develop schools.
The legislator went ahead to ask students in the sub county to put effort in their studies and become great people not only in the country but the world at large.
“Work hard to achieve your dreams so that you too can bring change to the world, the country is counting on you”, Said Mwalyo.
