Machakos county residents have been warned against exploiting and harassing their disabled kins.
Speaking in Mwala on Monday, the National funds for the disabled of kenya trustee, Mike Kisyulya decried increased number of beggars in the streets of Machakos’ towns and it’s environs.
“I’m aware that most beggars are ‘carried’ to the site to beg for money since the public will be sympathetic with them but at the end of it all they don’t benefit”, Said Kiswili.
He said that even when such people have been given equipments to start businesses some relatives confiscate them and use them for their own benefit.
He also urged Institutions dealing with kids with special needs to apply for aid from the organisation.
Kiswili said that that various institutions in the county have greatly profited from the organisation.
“NFDK constructs classes, provides equipments to people with disabilities so that they too can be able to make an impact in the world”, Said Kiswili.
He congratulated students that have embraced integrating the disabled kids in their institutions.
Kiswili urged beneficiaries to make great use of the equipments in order to make their life better.
“Disability is not the end of the world a lot of disabled people are changing the world”,Said Kiswili.
