Four people on Saturday perished after the car they were travelling in got an accident along Kanyonyoo-Embu road.
The accident involving a personal car happened around 10am at Kangonde in Masinga sub county of Machakos county.
According to Kangonde location Chief Sebastian Mang’ee who said that that the vehicle had four occupants who died.
He said that the car hit a culvert after the driver lost control and rolled several times.
“The vehicle lost control hit a culvert and rolled several times “, Said Mang’ee.
He said that three died on the spot where the other lost his life in Matuu level four hospital while receiving treatment.
Choef Mang’ee didn’t hesitate to warn drivers against reckless driving.
He urged them to be careful and wary of othee road users and avoid overspeeding.
” Stop overspeeding and be vigilant on road,adhere to traffic rules to curb rising cases of accidents”,Said Mang’ee.
He said many accidents being witnessed on our roads would be avoided if motorists took traffic rules seriously.
“60% of the accidents happening around the country can be averted if eoad usera adhere to traffic rules”, Said Mang’ee.
The bodies of the victims were taken to Matuu level four hospital mortuary for preseevation.
