Parents urged to help instill discipline in their children

Kangundo member of parliament Fabian Muli has urged parents to cooperate with teachers in instilling discipline in their kids.

Speaking on Saturday Muli said that the parents should take their responsibilities seriously while with their children at home.

He said that parents need to keep a close eye on their children this holiday season and avoid being entangled in their jobs.

“Schools are closing,parents should monitor their children activities,know which kind of group your kid is associated with and what kind of programmes they watch”, Said Muli.

He advised parents to ensure their kids go to worship places for no only spiritual nourishment but also be guided in the best way.

” Children brought in a Godly way rarely go wrong in their lives,take your kids to worship places don’t allow them to remain in the houses watching television of playing games “,He noted.

He observed that drug and substance abuse is a major challenge among students.

He also asked securitu agents to ensure they seal all loopholes used by drug peddlers who sell the stuff to schoolnhoing kids.

He observed that he’s determined to ensure there’s a positive change in education standards of the sub county.
