Mwingi central member of national assembly, Dr. Gideon Mulyungi has strongly condemned the ongoing demolitions in Nairobi County.
A few days ago, some investors counted losses after their buildings which were constructed on water ways, road reserves and riparian land were demolished.
The unpleasant exercise is still ongoing with Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko saying even his own buildings in Buruburu estate will also be brought down.
Dr. Mulyungi emphasised on the bodies responsible for the demolitions to be human as much ad they are adhering to the laws of the country.
‘this is reversing development gains in the country and such laws should be amended for the benefit of the locals,’ the vocal Wiper Mp stated.
The legislator wants the demolitions stopped and those affected to be compensated.
