Mwingi central mp Gideon Mulyungi has accused governor Ngilu of using contraband sugar to target some ethnic communities not to conduct business in Kitui County.

Mulyungi said that ngilu orderd the closure of Mt kenya shops over business rivalry and not health issues as claimed by the county government.

Mulyungi has called on the county government to open the Mt Kenya shops and if not he is going to sponsor a motion in parliament to compel the county government of kitui to open all the shops which have remained closed over allegations that they deal with expired merchandise.

The MP has termed the allegations as baseless.

Meanwhile the shops have remained closed despite a court order that revoked the closure.
