Two years ago during Wavinya Ndeti’s husband’s burial Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko caused drama at the event when he stood up to speak.
He had stood to read President Uhuru Kenyatta’s condolences speech to the Ndeti’s family as the gathering waited in silence.
Sonko who seemed upset launched a scathing attack at National Super Aliiance leaders Raila Odinga,Moses Wetangula among others who were present.
He accused them of being the most corrupt and shameless for pointing fingers at the jubilee government.
He said that NASA leader Raila Odinga was too old and should refire from politics.
He noted that Raila had joined polotics even before he (sonko)was born and he seemed reluctant retiring from politics.
Raila Odinga who was present, stood up and left. He was followed outside by party officials and a section of supporters.
To add salt on the wound he claimed he was the acting president since president Kenyatta and his deputy were out of the country.
His statement elicited mixed reactions among kenyans as some mocked him while others defended him.
Even the Directorate of Criminal Investigation summoned him on claims of commiting treason.
