Mission school closed over devil worshiping in Thika

A school in Thika sub county of Kiambu county has been closed down ovee claims of devil worship.

The Caritas Mariana school run by a nigerian catholic mission was closed down following a recommendation by a team of officials from the ministry of education .

Confirming the incident Thika director of education Ronald Mbogo said the school is suspected to be involved in sexual exploitation and cases of indiscipline.

The action rendered 72 students among tgem 10 candidates out of school for unknown period of time.

Parents who addressed the press claimed that it will be hard to find new schools for their kids due to the rumours.

Others complained that thorough investigations were not done before reaching on a decision to shut the school.

Heney Ngure the Parents Teachers Association chairman said that the decision caught parents by surprise and there could be an ulterior motive in the closure.

He observed that there is a group of cartels looking foraward to grab the plot owned by the school citing that the claims are rumours which cannot hold water.

“It’s third term other schools have refuses to admit our kids telling us to wait until next year,where will we take them now?”, asked Ngure.
