Former Kathiani member of parliament Wavinya Ndeti has thrown shade at governor Mutua for sacking employees on graft grounds minus conducting proper investigations.
Speaking on Saturday at Katwanyaa in Matungulu sub county of Machakos county Wavinya said that governor Mutua should be considerate of the families depending on those employees sacked.
Ndeti added that Mutua has a tendancy of laying off workers without proper investigations.
This is after he sacked over a hundred workers last year in the finance department where the public wasn’t told of their wrong doings.
“He sacked 30 workers on grounds of graft, was there any investigation conducted, you can’t wake up one day and decide to sack employees without following the proper channel”, complained Wavinya.
Wavinya noted that anyone accused of corruption should be handed to the police and prosecuted and the public should be aware of what the accused did and not just sacking people.
She said that leaders should learn to fight corruption diligently without victimising others.
” How do we know if they are guilty if they aren’t arrested and charged before a court of law, fight against corruption should be free and fair and not about victimizing the juniours”,She said.
Wavinya spoke at a wedding ceremony of Matungulu east member of county assembly Cosmus Ngula.
