Former Kangundo member of parliament Kyengo Maweu has said that he will be in the race to recover his lost seat in 2022.

Speaking to this writer on phone, Maweu observed that he’s sure he will capture back his seat.

He observed that he’s sure Kangundo people are regretting on their decision to out him and they will correct their mistake after four years.

“I’m still in the race and haven’t backed out,by now Kangundo people have known they messed up and regret that I’m sure of”, said Maweu.

The former legislator added that the residents failed to rate his development record which is unmatched compared to other constituencies before going to the ballot.

” My development record in incomparable,I dedicated myself to serving Kangundo people although they later failed to re-elect me “,he said.

The 70 year old politician is certain he will trounce his opponents.

Maweu lost his seat in the last general elections to Fabian Muli who vied on a Muungano ticket.

Maweu couldn’t believe his eyes as he came third in the race following Rose Ndinda a jubilee candidate who came second.

Kangundo constituency has a history for not voting a leader twice, a fact that sends shivers to incumbents thus giving hope to aspirants.
