Mwala member of parliament Vincent Musau has disclosed that he is yet to decide on whether he will vie for the gubernatorial seat in the next elections.
In an interview at a local radio station on Monday Musau brushed off claims going on that he will be in the race for governorship in 2022.
He said that those are just rumours and they shouldn’t be taken seriously.
“Actually i haven’t thought about vying for governorship,it’s a good call but the game of politics needs to be played well and premature politics don’t actually turn out to be good”, Said Musau.
He observed that fiest he’s bent on developing his constituency and make it a model constituency, one which would be envied by the others before dreaming on eyeing the top county seat.
” I have a lot on my plate for now when I’m done with Mwala and my constituents are satisfied then i can decide on running for governorship and make Machakos a model county but everything in due time”,He said.
Musau was responding after claims that he is largely interested in succeeding his party leader Dr.Alfred Mutua who will be vying for presidency in 2022.
So far only so far only three legislators have declared their wish to vie for Machakos governorship among them Mavoko lawmaker Patrick Makau his Kathiani counterpart Robert Mbui and Machakos town legislator Victor Munyaka who is serving his third term.
On the other hand former Kathiani member of parliament Wavinya Ndeti also said she will contest in 2022 if she loses the case against Mutua at the supreme court.
