The Catholic Diocese of Kitui has benefited SH 0.8M donation from the Catholic sponsored schools’ principals and the former CASPA principals from within the diocese, to assist in purchase of pews for Our Lady of Protection Shrine, Museve, that’s due completion soon.

The team was led by the Education Secretary, Reverend Fr. Julius Muthamba, where they handed over SH 340,000 dummy cheque to His Grace, Bishop Anthony Muheria, on behalf of Kitui Catholic Diocese, and made further pledges totalling up to over SH 800,000.

After receiving the donation in his area of residence in Kitui town, Bishop Anthony Muheria, greatly appreciated the move by the principals from the Catholic sponsored schools, that will speed completion of the shrine, the only one in Kitui Catholic Diocese, that was commissioned years ago.

After completion, the Catholic faithfuls from within Kitui will no longer travel to as far as Koma Rock Shrine, Kangundo in Machakos Catholic Diocese, since they’ll have one within their diocese where they can access easily at lower costs.
