Governor Mutua promoting Film makers in Machakos

Machakos County: Machakos governor Alfred Mutua (left) will soon abolish all filming charges in his county.
According to the governor, the move is based on his belief in the entertainment industry and its ability to create income opportunities and alleviate poverty. On Wednesday, Mutua launched the first ever film festival in the county called Machakos Fest, saying that he is determined to nurture and grow talent in Kenya’s film industry.
The number one-rated governor says that his aim is to transform Machakos county into the Hollywood of East and Central Africa. His government will soon be opening film and recording studios at the Machakos People’s Park.
